The island is the same size as its sister island: Kurisutaru Island, but some people say that it is not as ‘beautiful’.
Even though Daiyamondo Island is located in a warm climate area it is made up of ice; when the sun shines just right it sparkles like a thousand precious gems.
The island has one tall mountain that is completely made up of ice. The island is ringed with ice and the only way you can reach it is with a very strong water Pokemon. No one can fly to the island because from above the reflection of the sun on ice blinds people in the sky.
The Currents around Daiyamondo Island are strong so that no one can reach it when a storm is brewing, there are rocks hidden just beneath the surface of the water, there are wrecked ships and ice floating everywhere.
It is said that somewhere around the mountain is an entrance to a cave, the cave is said to be where the legendary Neiwish resides, but it won’t be easy to find her. She resides deep with in the intricate tunnel system; it’s going to be hard. The cave is like a maze and she resides in the middle of the maze.
Plus there are Pokemon who would protect her with their lives; if you wish to set eyes on her you will have many tough battles ahead. Unlike her brother she allows those with evil and darkness surrounding them and their Pokemon to venture onto her island. She does this in the hopes of curing them of the evil and darkness that surrounds them.
All Pokemon that live in the cave are under her protection and can not be caught, not even by a Masterball, but the Pokemon that reside outside of the cave can be caught, it is said that all Pokemon that live on her island, inside and outside of the cave, are ice colored.
