The Second Chapter

Shy sighed, throwing her bag over her shoulder. She had just went by ship from the Phoenix Reigion to Lizik. And boy, that was a terrible voyage. Drunk soldiers, overly-clingy couples, and annoying children to say the least. However, she had made it, and that was all there was to it. Now it was time to start her second journey as a pokemon trainer. She paused in front of the Laboratory. Shy smiled slightly, remembering the time in which she had first visited Phoenix Laboratory.

Shaking her head, to dispel lingering thoughts of Phoenix she knocked (a little eagerly) on the front door of the Laboratory. She hoped someone would be in, even if it was rather late for a pokemon trainer to be visiting. However, simply knocking on the door left her mind to wander.

They hadn't been happy, her pokemon hadn't. They had held on to her pant legs until they realized she was serious about going alone. They seemed so depressed, it made her feel terrible about leaving them. It was like she had killed all their happiness, like she was a murderer. Shy sighed to herself, she had to stop thinking about that. It was a new journey now.

A new journey when she still had memories of the old journey? How could she take on a 'new' journey if she couldn't rightfully leave the 'old' journey? She sighed, how naive to thinks she could escape Phoenix without properly finishing things. But she pushed those thoughts out of her head. It was pointless dwelling on things already done, she didn't have enough money for another ship ticket anyway. She was here. And she would stay here until she became a better trainer. But yet, there was still that unidentifiable feeling she felt for leaving her pokemon.

How depressing.

Mika glanced up from her chair. "Metego, you're the one in charge here, while Reita's gone. Answer that."

The Fushigan professor sighed and walked out of the back room, where she and her other sister had been studying a Pokemon they'd found back home and had brought with them when they came to visit Lizik.

"Stupid trainers..." Doom muttered from the back room, securing the Pokemon tightly as she followed Metego out. "Always popping in at the worst times."

Mika went back to making plans for a base for Team Dark in Lizik. It may or may not work out, she wouldn't know until she tried, though.

"Quiet, Doom. Be nice to the trainer. Act like she's come for her first Team Dark Pokemon or something, okay?" Metego hissed, pulling open the lab door.

"Hi! Professor Reita's out right now, but I'd be glad to help you in any way I can. I'm Professor Metego, visiting from the Fushigi region. What do you need?"

Shy glanced up at the other woman,

"..I'm sorry to visit so late."

She shifted the backpack awkwardly, "I'm here to obtain a starter a pokemon, if you would not mind, Professor Metego?"
